More Proof 7970 is clock per clock KING

GTX 680 vs. MSI Lightning 7970 Clock per Clock

Comparing the GTX 680 to the 7970 both clocked at 1100/6000 Mhz. Enjoy..

Setup: Core i7-3930K @4.7 GH, Asus Rampage IV Extreme, 8 GB DDR3-2400 MHz Kingston, Antec HP-1200W. Drivers Catalyst 12.3 + GeForce 300.10.

RESULTS:

Even OBR a known pro Nvidia / Anti AMD troll shows here the 7970 beats the GTX 680 in a clock per clock battle!

EDIT:

HE ACTUALLY MADE A MISTAKE IT LOOKS LIKE THE 7970 IS ~8.0% BETTER ON AVERAGE CLOCK PER CLOCK, COMPARED TO THE GTX 680, NOT 1.8%.

  1. Thanks you for that competition details,
but I have question. I'm about to build my next ultimate gaming PC, and as usual my gaming PC will be connected to my Samsung 55" 3D HDTV which is only 1080p which is 960Mhz Clear Motion Rate.
now I want to play all the games in 3D mode, and I was wondering since I won't be playing more than 1080p screen resolution. what is your advice should I go with GTX 680 SLI or crossfire Radeon HD 7870? My PC specification is exactly the same you mentioned in the top.
I want to play all the game in ultimate setting in 3D mode with smooth fps, just like Crysis 2 has the extreme resolution pack.

    any suggestion or opinion.
