You can't really compare "core to core" because cuda cores and stream processors are totally different.
ReplyDeleteHowever your right, the R9 290 is the best bang for buck card on the market no doubt and the 290x is barely below the 780ti when overclocked (stock to stock they are almost even). The advantage though, is the 780ti can overclock very far on the stock cooler where as the 290/290x cannot.
